First Day at the New Job

Well, I'd like to say that my first day went really well.

My co-workers are so nice and it's such a change of pace. It's always a little scary and weird at first when you start out somewhere new. SO much to learn. So much to find out, you know? You should see the stack of material I need to read. I want to be as well-versed as possible so that I can really know what I'm editing and writing about. It's nice to be working in my field again and I'm really happy about it.

What I hate more about the new job is the first lunchtime. You don't know the norm, not knowing whether you should pack a sandwich or dash out to a restaurant, etc.

I began a new job at a local TV station in January. The position alone was scarey enough, tho I know I am a good secretary-type. My learning curve was HUGE now being in a not-for-profit, I've had alot of mentality retraining to do.

I was ready to bolt and go back out on the market again. Everyone told me to "give it time", UGH, I just didn't want to hear it.

I did it. I love it. I look forward to arriving there each day.

You'll be awesome. Get lots of rest and spoil yourself. Get some fresh air and enjoy the new process like making a piece of your wonderful art. Make it a challenge...you'll go far!
