Well, Cooooool!

Well, alright! Picked up some inkjet transparency paper. Yeouch! It was expensive. I already have my Golden gel medium so I finally get to tinker with image transfers. First I'll finish "Starbirth: Carina Nebula" though...

I found that gel medium transfer technique takes a whole lot more practice than I had patience for...

but you can reuse the transparency sheets if you're careful. Scrub off the remaining ink and medium, lightly coat it with some clean medium and print again.

Debra I am with you .. I have been wanting to try out this technique as well ... hmmm I tried it and put way to much gel... didnt work I tried a bout 9 of them to smuggy and that was one day gone LOL ... can post pictures but they dont look like much. What I did try which seemed to work better is put it on (image)paper and put the gel on top a thick layer then after that wet the paper and rub it off.. if you like you can email me or on my blog for questions.
Good luck with your venture.

I love ink jet transparency...it works with gesso too...and you can tint the gesso and you can "carve" into it and make marks that enhance your image....Oh I want to go get some out...to bad it is past my creativity time of day...thanks for your nice comments about my kids...they are a fairly good pile of creations!!Ginger
