RE-started: Carina Nebula
After my iron fiasco (and many expletives), I immediately started a new version. I had to re-pastel and re-paint "Starbirth: Carina Nebula", so this is a photo of version 2. You can see the original NASA/ESA Hubble Telescope photo HERE.
Looks GREAT!!! Isn't it neat to get inspired by all those telescope shots!!! About once a week I go and catch up on those photos - there is usually one I have to save for inspiration later!

OOOh! Tis is even better than #!! Gorgeous!
I had the same thoughts as gerrie and mary...this one looks so much more celestial.
This is just beautiful. Maybe you were just meant to do a version 2. P.S. I love telescope shots too! Jen
I agree... this is an excellent development. I can't wait to see the quilting. What a lucky sister!
Yep...what the others have said. I'm still sorry you had the trauma of scorching #1, but I now think it was meant to be because #2 is better!!
Maybe you can cut up the unscorched parts of #1 and use them in other pieces?
Beautiful.
Love the soft colors.
I love it! Definitely looks ethereal and misty like a nebula does.
absolutely stunning
