Gee's Bend Quilts Stamps

Oooo-weeee!

The U.S. Postal Service is going to feature 10 quilts from the Gee's Bend exhibit on their stamps. This will look great framed, wouldn't it?

We've got to wait all the way until August 2006 for them though...

I hope I get these...I missed the Salsa dancing stamps and they sold out in a matter of a week or so here. Do you collect stamps?

I don't collect stamps either but I enjoy using stamps I really like instead of things I think are ugly. A few years ago when they had the Amish quilt stamps I used those as often as possible until they were phased out. Hopefully I'll be able to do the same thing with the Gee's Bend ones. And wouldn't they be great stamps to use on a fiber postcard?

I'm always on the lookout for great new stamps and if something is really special, I'll buy a sheet and keep them. Do you remember the James Dean stamp a few years ago? Got him. Pity the GB stamps are not on sale now - the holiday choices, ALL the choices are kinda lame this year.
