Ooo-la-la!

I am still working on "Tish Groove" couching variegated thread on the outlines. My cousin Tish--its namesake--stopped through tonight while I was working on it. "That's really pretty, you know?" she said. "Are you going to give it to me (as a housewarming present)?" I told her I'd think about it because I'd like to possibly enter it in some things this year if it turns out well.

I am really liking how it is turning out. It gives it texture and a 3-D feel/depth to it. You know how it is when you try something new and you're unsure of the outcome? Well, I'm really tickled with mine. Since it's by hand, it's a little slow going, but I am SO enjoying the process.
