Really Rain...Go AWAY!

Rain gets to a point where it's not helping to make the flowers pretty and the grass green and relieving droughts anymore. What we're having right now is crazy day-after-day, nonstop rain and storms that are causing flooding and standing water everywhere and snarling an entire region. This is nuts! D.C. and its Metro area are having a hard time right now. A tree even fell over in the front of the White House. It's just...wow.

I'll also admit that when we had our basement mini-flood, one of the first things I made sure was high and dry was my sewing machine (and that's only because I tended to the computer first!) LOL.

I feel your pain. That 6 weeks of rain we had in Feb-March? I got way over rain then.

Hopefully the front moves on and you can dry out a bit.

That elm that fell at the White House, is pictured on the back of the $20 bill, I hear.

We also had way too much rain this spring, the crawl space under our house flooded. We paid someone to pump it out, but it just rained and flooded again. Luckily I don't think we have killer mold down there! Now it is dry and the garden looks great, but I was really wishing I could go somewhere warm and sunny--we just got back from Hawaii and it was lovely, just what I needed about two months ago!

I thought about you this morning as I woke up to rain hitting my window! I guess we're getting very little rain down here!

Stay safe and dry!

And out west, we could really use all that extra water!

I stumbled across your blog and love your quilts. There's something about the color combinations, as well as the quilting, that is just fabulous. Congrats on selling that one at the choral auction!
