Well, got my digicam reader. Yay!
Here's the beginning of "Tish Groove". I think I was able to salvage it from my fusing fiasco the other day. Right now it's just the background dancers. With it being reversed it threw me off, so I might add another figure next to the pink one or alter the main figure's dancing position (yet to be added). The background's such a pretty indigo to me, but it's not showing up as well in this pic. I want a whole "at the club" kinda vibe.

I love the way this piece shows so much vibrant action. It really looks like YOU! (Well, the way you sound in your blog...) I can't wait to see what you do to it next. I just love it when people show their work in progress, don't you?
The main character just needs to be added. For anyone who has ever partied or been to a club, I want that dance light lit look. I'll probably use some metallic threads and use beads on the background to make it sparkle and pop more. I'm not that great of a machine quilter yet, so I'm about to do some experimental hand work.
I LOVE when others show/describe their work in progress! It gives me so much insight into their thinking.

This is looking great! Wonderful colors and movement. Ae you familiar with Romare Beardon's work? He did a lot of themes like this - I LOVE HIS WORK!!

Great colors and design! Are you going to add the foreground figure as in your digital illo you linked to?
I've added the central figure and figured out my stitching, etc., as I'm doing it by hand. I'll post pics soon.
